The Copenhagen vs Man City live stream will see the reigning Champions League winners begin their defense of the trophy in the first knockout round — and you can watch it live from anywhere.

Currently third in the Danish Superliga, Copenhagen qualified for the Round of 16 at the expense of Turkish giants Galatasaray and Premier League side Man Utd. Finishing second in Group A, behind the undefeated Bayern Munich, was quite an achievement for The Lions, but their reward is a seriously tough test against arguably the best side in the world, Man City.

Last season saw Man City finally claim the one trophy that has eluded them for so long. They are the reigning champions of Europe (and the world, after winning the Club World Cup in December). The goal now will be to solidify their status as one of the most elite clubs in soccer history by defending their first CL title and laying down the roots to build a genuine dynasty.

On paper, Man City are the clear favorites, even with Copenhagen enjoying home-field advantage. But don’t totally write the historic Danish club off, the last time these sides met in the Champions League was in October 2022 during the group stage where Copenhagen held Man City to a goalless draw. However, the reverse fixture was a 5-0 thrashing by City with world-class striker Erling Haaland scoring a brace.

You won't want to miss the Copenhagen vs Man City live stream to see if the defending champs can take a first-leg advantage back to England, or perhaps, The Lions will shock everybody by causing a major upset.

Lukas Lerager, who scored the winner in the 1-0 win over Galatasaray in the final group game, was sent off after the midfielder picked up two yellow cards in the same game.

So either of Rasmus Falk, Viktor Claesson or Oscar Hojlund can deputise for the suspended Lerager, while Davit Khocholava and Theo Sander are out injured.

Meanwhile, Roony Bardghj - scorer of one of the goals in the 4-3 win over Manchester United - is expected to lead the line of attack. Birger Meling remains a doubt due to a muscle problem.

Guardiola has no injuries and suspensions to deal with here, although Ruben Dias is a booking away from possibly missing the second-leg tie.

Following the rotations in the 2-0 Premier League win against Everton, the likes of Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne should see themselves in the XI.

However, most strikingly, a well-rested Erling Haaland should be involved in the attack alongside Jeremy Doku and Phil Foden.

The Round of 16 in this year’s UEFA Champions League begins on Tuesday with the reigning champions continuing to defend their title, as Manchester City travels to take on Copenhagen.

Manchester City looks like a club that will make another run at winning a UCL title. After pulling off a historic treble last season, where they also won the FA Cup and English Premier League crowns, ManCity is looking back to form after getting star striker Erling Haaland back in the lineup after fracturing his foot. They have won 10 straight matches across all competitions, including winning the FIFA World Cup championship and advancing to the fifth round in the FA Cup. They are also challenging for first in the EPL, sitting two points back of Liverpool.

Manchester City has made it to at least the quarterfinals in each of the last six seasons.

Copenhagen had never made it out of the group stage in the Champions League. That changed when they managed to finish second in a tough Group A earlier this season. They earned a draw with Bayern Munich, picking up wins against Galatasaray and Manchester United to make it to the Round of 16. The back-to-back Danish Superliga champs will have to pull out a gutsy effort against a dominant City squad if they want to have a chance going into Manchester in the second leg.

ManCity is 2-2-0 against Copenhagen in UEFA competition, beating and drawing with the Danish squad during the group stage last season.

FC Copenhagen will be in front of their home fans on Tuesday, but a look at the line shows they might need that home-pitch advantage. Having advanced past the Group Stage, they will now face off against Manchester City in the Round of 16 at 3:00 p.m. ET on February 13th at Parken. FC Copenhagen's last ten Champions League matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Back in December of 2023, FC Copenhagen kept a clean sheet against Galatasaray. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Galatasaray 1-0. Even though FC Copenhagen was hit with a red card (from Lukas Lerager), the team's aggressive strategy still got them the 'W'.

Meanwhile, Manchester City put another one in the bag back in December of 2023 to keep their perfect Champions League record intact. They beat Red Star Belgrade by a goal, winning 3-2. Three seems to be a good number for Manchester City as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

FC Copenhagen have not played a competitive match since December with their domestic season restarting this weekend. The hosts will carry an attacking threat via Roony Bardghji and Diogo Goncalves with Rasmus Højlund's younger brother Oscar set to start in midfield.

After a relatively indifferent start to the campaign, the treble winners are absolutely flying, showing the kind of ominous form they displayed last season. With the Premier League title race now in their hands, they have been offered a favourable chance of Champions League progression too.

Copenhagen have not played a competitive fixture since defeating Galatasaray in their final Champions League group game two months ago. The Danish top flight does not resume until next weekend but Copenhagen have tried to limit the rust with a series of friendlies in the new year.

City, by comparison, have been crowned world champions and clicked into ominous form since the club's last European fixture. Pep Guardiola's side bounce into the Danish capital on the back of a ten-match winning streak.

Denmark's prolonged winter break may have robbed Jacob Neestrup of the match practice to build up a head of steam before City's visit, but it has provided plenty of time for players to return from injury.

Centre-back Nicolai Boilesen has suffered from various fitness issues throughout the campaign but has been reintegrated into training during the off-season. Fellow defender Birger Meling is also on his way back from a muscle tear but teenage goalkeeper Theo Sander is still nursing a knee problem.

Lukas Lerager had not missed a minute of Champions League football for Copenhagen this season, scoring three goals from midfield, until he earned a second yellow card in the 90th minute of that December victory over Galatasaray. Lerager will be suspended for Tuesday's contest but can be selected for the second leg.

Kevin De Bruyne started on the bench for Saturday's 2-0 victory over Everton perhaps with an eye on the upcoming knockout tie. The Belgian has not appeared in the Champions League since limping off in last season's final with an injury which has limited his involvement this term. One figure that can be all but guaranteed a starting berth is Erling Haaland. City's top scorer found the net for the first time since November against Everton and bagged two goals in his only previous encounter with Copenhagen.

Lukas Lerager is suspended for the hosts, while Davit Khocholava and Theo Sander are injured. Birger Meling is also a doubt, though former Arsenal goalkeeper Alex Runarsson and ex-Nottingham Forest defender Scott McKenna may feature. The much talked about Roony Bardghji will surely start. City aren’t carrying any fresh injury concerns. Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne may all start after beginning the win against Everton on the bench.
